Job Description:

Manufacturing Supervisor -Night Shift (11pm to 7am) Required Skills  3-5 years previous supervisory experience in CANADA. Excellent company and opportunity.  Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Proven problem solving skills.  Knowledge of manufacturing organization, controls and procedures  Good understanding of Safety principles for an industrial work environment  Must have experience with team building, process improvement and conflict resolution  Lean manufacturing knowledge & implementation  Knowledge of ISO 14001/9001 required  Strong leadership, strategic thinking and analytical.  Must have strong organizational skills  Ability to work in a team oriented environment  Capable of working off shifts, flexible hours, including weekends Responsibilities  Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Must recognize unsafe conditions and practices and make corrections to prevent injuries and property loss  Required to support or complete safety audits/inspections of the assigned work area, through investigations of incidents and accidents, job safety analysis and have safety meetings  Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching and counseling associates; initiating, coordinating, and oversees systems, policies, and procedures  Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities  Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments  Ensure department meets its production goals (KPIs), monitor production processes and product quality to ensure correct procedures are followed for quality production  Complete daily production reports  Evaluate source of equipment problems (troubleshooting), work closely with engineering and maintenance departments  Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management Education Bachelor of Science or BA or Associates Degree or equivalent combination of experience and post-secondary education, preferably in a technical background
