GDMS has an immediate opening for an experienced Senior Computer-aided Design (CAD) Software Engineer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to design, develop and manage CAD software solutions for GDMS. The Senior CAD Software Engineer will possess a thorough understanding of the design and documentation requirements ranging for Printed Circuit boards. In addition, the qualified candidate must be experienced in generating designs for digital signal processing, hi-frequency radio frequency printed circuit board designs, and understand routing principles relating to hi-speed routing and interference design. Candidates should demonstrate sophisticated problem solving skills, as well as an ability to design, develop and implement innovative General Dynamics Mission Systems business solutions.
The Senior CAD Software Engineer must have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related specialized area or the equivalent, and two to five years of related experience. Applicants with a master's degree and zero to two years of related experience also qualify.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
