As a Maintenance Technician Instrument you are responsible for maintaining a diverse range of equipment at raw water sources, reservoirs, as well as water treatment works. You will work as part of a team to ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard in order to provide our customers with the highest quality water supply. As you will be expected to provide maintenance support for our customers 24/7 you and your team will work on a standby rota, should the need for assistance arise. Furthermore, whilst carrying out this role you will actively identify and put forward suggestions in order to improve efficiency and reliability of the equipment and process your use on a daily basis.
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will demonstrate positive behaviours and attitude towards the work you are carrying out, as well as working as part of a team. You will also have a commitment to promoting a healthy and safe working environment. Whilst you will be working as part of a wider team, the ability to work alone using your own initiative is key for this role, as well as maintaining self-motivation and a flexible, positive approach. Essential skills for this position include maintenance experience in a similar role meaning you will have water treatment process knowledge and experience. You will also have knowledge of using different IT systems, codified/local procedures understanding and possibly experience of working with Mitsubishi and Rockwell PLC's.
