Senior Housing Strategy and Projects Officer|
Are you a senior housing strategy officer looking for your next role? Then I may have the opportunity for you! As my client from a local authority in west London is looking to appoint a contractor for an initial 3 month period with a view to extend. The position is paying up to £27 an hour for the right candidate.
Purpose of The Role:
To undertake analysis of legislation, policy and its impacts in order to formulate effective strategy for the councils housing, to ensure that the department delivers effective services and responds successfully to the pressures of housing needs, supply and the Council's statutory duties as a landlord and local housing authority.
1 Contribute to the development and review of housing related strategies and policies such as: Housing Strategy, Homelessness Plan, Housing Allocation Policy.
2 Assist management to ensure good practice and efficient working across Housing Services, Resident Services and the outsourced Property Services.
3 Conduct research into housing issues including analysis of demographic, geographic, housing market and economic issues to support and inform the development of housing strategies.
4 Prepare, appropriate documentation and plans; business cases; assessments of benefits, quality, risk and issues; provide regular and accurate progress and performance information on projects and associated actions and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a background in policy or strategy, specifically with a housing association or local authority. They will also be able to interpret government legislation and guidance, analyse business processes to formulate evidence based policy and procedures.
