The primary purpose of the End Point Security Analyst role is to become involved in projects closely aligned with the new and progressive transformation of the Thales business. There will be opportunities in this role for exciting, diverse and challenging work within a talented team
This role demands the implementation of technical solutions to meet project requirements with some expectation support existing server and storage systems to maintain a defined level of service while conforming to defined processes and standards.

The server projects team based in Crawley is primarily focused on delivery of back end IT infrastructure to internal and external Thales businesses. This involves the installation and configuration of server, storage and other IT infrastructure components to agreed designs, timescales and budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Completion of tasks assigned by Server Team Leader within capabilities.
  • Team members are expected to take a professional approach to basic administrative tasks, time sheets, sickness reports, expense claims, holiday plans and follow Thales internal admin processes
  • Completion of tasks assigned by Server Team Leader within capabilities.
  • Working within a team or independently to create and implement technical changes.
  • Documenting current systems or enhancements and proposed solutions.
  • Reporting on opportunities to eliminate problems
  • Effective and efficient problem-solving
  • Obtaining information to resolve complex problems.
  • Escalating when necessary and aiding in resolution of escalated issues.
  • Some out of office hours work is to be expected
  • Maintain awareness of current technical and service developments.
Skills,Qualifications and Experience
  • In depth technical knowledge in Server virtualisation, Windows Server OS, Storage technology, Backup systems and IT infrastructure systems, DNS,TCP, SSL etc.
  • Highly desirable specific skills include Vmware vsphere (ESX), Horison View, VCAC VCO, Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2008Microsoft Direct Access, NetApp CDOT, Cisco UCS
  • Broad range of technical knowledge and experience of IT systems required
  • Significant technical experience at server level
  • Experience of working in secure environments
  • Technical Bachelor Degree or HND or equivalent level of technical knowledge and experience
  • Desirable qualifications include:
    • Engineer/Design level (MCSE or equivalent) of current technical certification in at least one technology.
    • Administration level (MCP, VCP, CCA, RHCT) or equivalent level of current technical certification in at least one technology.
    • ITIL Foundation
