Join our manufacturing team in Templecombe, where you will have the chance to lead a team working on some of the most advanced naval projects in the UK. This role is about managing and assisting staff engaged in the assembly of electro-mechanical assemblies and their sub-assemblies, mixing and dispensing of chemicals and any associated modifications, so is therefore crucial to the success of our business. As well as working in a fast-paced, agile environment, you will be able to develop your existing leadership skills by managing a team of up to 12 individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Manufacturing Team Lead, you would take on the following tasks and responsibilities:
  • To supervise the work of the section with due regard for notified priorities
  • Mechanical assembly using hand and special tooling
  • Produce progress reports, resolve problems, highlight deficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Assist in the tuition and training of junior staff as necessary
  • Conduct performance and development reviews as required
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Capability to interpret wiring diagrams, engineering drawings and change instructions
  • A confident and positive leadership style
  • Experience in the production or development industry
  • Experience of using continuous improvement techniques in industry
  • Proactive and problem solving ability
  • NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds Electrical, or equivalent is desirable (additional practical experience could negate the requirement for formal qualification)
