Join our Service team in Templecombe, to provide expert advice to shape the development of systems/equipment, and develop their support strategy, for optimal through-life cost. Provide expert solutions to long-term or through-life support bids and programmes into bid and/or programme managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and analyses to shape the development of systems/equipment at the concept phase for optimal Life-Cycle Cost (LCC).
  • Generate and maintain appropriate LCC models to support the making of decisions in the above.
  • Provide support solution expertise to Bids and Projects.
  • Provide Trade-off analyses and business cases in support of those solutions.
  • Generate relevant documentation and plans to support bids and projects.
  • Represent Thales interests in developing the solutions with partners, subcontractors and Primes.
  • Provide resource and material estimates for the relevant areas of the solution.
  • Ensure that the risks and opportunities associated with the solutions are identified, communicated and, where practicable, mitigated.
  • Ensure that any assumptions and dependencies associated with the solutions are identified, recorded and maintained.
  • Develop good working relationships with partners and Primes.
  • Support the generation and maintenance of Thales UK processes and procedures for the key areas of technical responsibility.
  • Attend and support Team Meetings.
  • Participate in training and development activities as identified.
  • Conform to Company quality procedures and standard practices.

Skills, qualifications and experience

  • Technical background
  • Good numerical skills
  • Previous Technical Team Leadership
  • Relevant experience in the Defence or Services Community
