Site Manager required for this main contractor, for their 3 storey, 5 million in value nursing home project, starting in November, based in Eastbourne.|
They pride themselves on a wealth of knowledge having completed over 40 specialist nursing and residential care homes with a further 3 homes under construction and 4 at design stage. They have the knowledge to interpret what the client is looking for and the expertise to provide the solutions to their individual needs.
Recent requests have been made for larger lifts due to certain illnesses and disabilities, size and level of access, ceiling mounted hoists, relationship between service areas and residential areas and increasingly the futuristic approach to specialist care in relation to smaller individual grouped units.
A recent example being, 60 bedroom specialist care home, specialising in Bariatric and young disabled featuring a hydrotherapy pool with full hoist access and jet stream, floors specially designed to take additional weight of Bariatric patients and hoists, disabled access kitchens to each four bedroom wing unit, cinema, hairdressing salon, shop, fully tiles en suite wet rooms and roof garden with panoramic views.
Promote health, safety and environmental issues (in line with company policy) on all sites to ensure the highest standards are achieved and maintained.
To oversee the production on site, to deliver projects on time and accurately report current position on programmes to the pre-determined targets.
To carry out the construction in the most effective manner and deal with all obstacles efficiently and appropriately
To drive liaison with utility companies to ensure timely connections
To issue sub-contractor notice to commence, prepare and issue short term programmes and effectively hold/input into sub-contractor meetings and record/distribute minutes of the meeting
Undertake material take-off`s, Order, plan and schedule material delivery requirements and prepare accurate and timely material requisitions in line with the contract specification, Ensuring sufficient time is provided to enable the buyers suitable time to attain the best rates, minimising unnecessary storage on site whilst having sufficient material on site to maintain progress with the construction programme.
Ensure all Health and Safety/ISO procedures are followed.
