Lift Engineer - c£30k + door to door travel & O/T - ote £35k+|
Established for over 15 years this company provide the installation, refurbishment and maintenance of lifts. Their highly experienced team pride themselves on the highest levels of customer service combined with state of the art, high quality equipment and workmanship.
An opportunity has arisen for a Lift Engineer to join the team working in the South West; predominantly Exeter, Taunton, Bridgewater & Bristol areas.
The role will require you to collaborate and communicate to work as a team member and demonstrate willingness and ability to support colleagues
Conduct work with consideration of company mission statement, striving to exceed customer expectations
Complete all tasks in line with company health and safety policy, along with issues RAMS for service and repair tasks. Where site conditions vary from RAMS issued in any way notify supervisor to compile specific RAMS and determine if work can continue
During RAMS compilation or reference, if at any time it is determined that assistance is required to ensure safe working, stop work and notify supervisor
If any lift is determined to be in a condition not suitable for safe use, lift to be isolated without exception.
Manage daily / weekly job issues via effective self-management and time keeping. Utilise bookings support offered by service administrator.
Provide excellent customer service through effective communication with clients and end users at site,
Demonstrate commercial awareness of time allocated to tasks and communicate with supervisor where quotations should be provided
Complete service tasks in line with tasks allocated to particular visit
Meet duty of care by reporting on all items identified to require remedial works, provide sufficient detail on same to permit quote compilation by office
Where applicable, manage monthly round effectively and work with supervisor to ensure rounds are completed within the allocated month.
Submit sheets electronically reflecting service duties completed and detailing remedial work opportunities
Participate in call out rota as per rota issued and take responsibility to contribute effectively throughout the year
(standard call in hours) React to call out allocation positively and work with supervisor to achieve minimum impact on the day's work allocations, while attending site within time frame agreed with the client, to permit client update
(entrapment call in hours) React to call out allocation positively and work with supervisor to achieve best attendance time and permit client updates
Where full and safe resolve is not achievable, inform client at site and supervisor of same. Where lifts must be left isolated pending repair also infirm repair manager via phone call and collaborate to ensure all details for remedial works are known.
Carry out repairs effectively with reference to issued RAMS and job sheets, using issued SQ number and task description for electronic sheet submission, and SQ for time sheet reference.
Communicate with repair manager if repair cannot be completed, or site conditions vary from issued RAMS
Submit electronic reports and time sheets daily to service supervisor, to permit prompt processing of sheets
Suitably qualified (NVQ) with at least 3 years experience of working in a similar role.
Basic salary to £30k with door to door travel, overtime and callout OTE will be £35k+
