Due to continued growth, my client requires a new member to join them at their Huddersfield office.

Main purpose of the role:

To provide an effective Technical Support Service to our clients and internal teams.

Primary Tasks:

* To provide the highest level of customer service at all times whilst achieving standards and aiming for targets
* To provide technical support via telephone, remote access and email keeping within the procedure time limits
* Proactively react to variations in the incoming call management to provide an effective support service
* To log all calls and sub calls directly on to the database at point of contact and ensure all calls are kept up to date
* Prioritise by severity and manage calls and outstanding call logs
* To escalate and liaise calls with 3rd line support, following the escalation procedure
* To escalate and liaise call outs to Operations when an engineer call out is required, placing the appropriate jobs onto the systems and allocation or requirement of parts for the call out
* To monitor incoming email mailboxes including the support@ mailbox
* To maintain and update database records with all updated and relevant information
* To plan future tasks and incident resolutions using Planfor and liaising with line manager if time off support is required
* To work effectively as part of the technical support team, assisting other members of the team as required
* To identify chargeable work not covered by the client's contract and make the appropriate charge, referring to the sales rep or line manager for clarity.

Other Tasks:

* To provide technical specifications and advice for sales team and to complete projects within the allotted time limits
* To identify sales opportunities for clients and feed to the appropriate sales person
* To liaise with 3rd party hardware and software vendors
* To provide solutions from within the company's agreed product and service portfolio and to identify any areas of opportunity, concern or progression, so these may be considered
* To identify and communicate required Training areas, so the business assess them and attend Training courses as required
* To perform customer hardware pre-configurations upon request
* To liaise with our or 3rd party engineers on site when required
* When providing the Backup Service - prioritise checks to:
a. Backups - Manual check
b. Priority List and BVS Backups
c. Previous day/s failures to ensure clients have a backup
d. Remaining Backups
e. Escalate after 3 failures - after providing technical assistance to previous faults
* To ensure work area is kept clean and tidy at all times
* To carry out any other reasonable request made by the company

Other role information:

* Working Hours are 8.30am - 5.00pm with 1 Hour Lunch (must be flexible)
* To work as part of a team of 7
* Salary Guideline - skill dependant starting £15,000
* Must have workstation, server and networking experience.

* 22 Days Holiday + Stats
