The role is a member of the project management team and supporting the Head of Project Management in:
Providing sharing services to the Employee Benefits profit centres and
Providing governance and oversight across profit centres and central operations.
Main responsibilities and Accountabilities Within parameters set by the Central Operations Executive:
To own and lead on large, complex projects and/or a portfolio of smaller projects, including o Delivering to minimum standards in terms of time, quality and budget.
o Working in partnership with the client teams to deliver to the client's requirements.
o Reporting (progress, risks, issues) is sufficient in content and clarity to enable Programme Office to manage JLT projects effectively. o Demonstrating clear understanding of the business need for each project, making ongoing decisions based on what's best for the organisation, challenging senior stakeholders on critical success factors if needed. o Effectively communicating projects in the context of JLT's vision, mission and values.
o Effectively managing of budgets and resources
To establish role model planning, governance, reporting, communication, budgetary and delivery disciplines ensuring delivery to quality, time and cost requirements, including o Advocating adherence to company policy, practices and rigour standards, educating
and motivating colleagues as appropriate. o Ensuring the approach to project management is consistent with and aligned to JLT's corporate strategy. o Developing and improving project management effectiveness, practices and policies. o Serving as a project management role model to others within JLT.
To build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external and across all areas of JLT. To champion and facilitate cross functional colleagues/teams to work as 'one JLT'.
To use effectively assigned resources in collaboration with their line managers. To offer proactive support to non-project management specialists with responsibilities for managing projects.
To individually assess the health of a project or lead a small team in doing so, producing clear, prioritised review findings to address the most important problem areas.
To make continuous improvement a priority, holding a solid grasp of many project management principles, with experience in successfully advancing those principles.
To be a role model for integrity, unswerving in taking the initiative to ensure a project is always run with proper governance, and will champion the promotion of integrity in all endeavours.
Experience and Education Requirements
Experience of completing the entire project lifecycle, from inception to implementation. Track record of delivering to time, quality and budget.
Experience in client facing work.
Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to articulate complex messages with clarity and ease to all audiences and flex style as required.
