Technical Operator / Operations Technician|
Greencore Food to Go Northampton is undergoing unprecedented growth with over £30 Million invested in our site. The end result is that we have recently opened our 4th unit and are in the process of building our 5th, which is due to open in early 2017. Due to the huge investment in the Northampton site the business is opening its new highly automated high tech manufacturing facility at the start of 2017 we are currently looking for a number Technical Operators / Operations Technicians to take ownership of machinery, area and equipment and the consistent application of processes within a given area/line to ensure products are prepared/manufactured to the agreed standards and production plans and equipment is run and maintained in a good efficient manor.
You will be responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of machinery and equipment, through Optimum Equipment Efficiency (OEE), highlighting trends and issues to ensure asset performance is consist and reliable. You will be involved in basic fault finding and prevention of breakdowns and first line maintenance as well as carrying out basic Planed Preventative Maintenance (PPM). You will take real ownership for your equipment and area and will provide training of operational staff as well as assist engineers with break downs and will work as part of the team produce ingredients or goods in line with the agreed production plan, resolve problems and issues as they arise, continuously monitor raw materials/ingredients, operational processes and the overall production environment.
Skills & Experience
An engineering qualification will be beneficial but not essential but would need experience working in a technical role such as a Technical Operator, Operations Technician or Machine Minder ideally within a manufacturing or production environment although not essential as training will be given
