This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to accelerate their IT career as an IT Support Apprentice for a Leicester-based organisation. As part of a Level 3 IT Apprenticeship, you'll gain hands-on experience; industry recognised Microsoft, CompTIA and ITIL qualifications all whilst earning a decent salary.|
As an IT Support Apprentice, your role includes:
The successful candidate's primary role will be to help and assist the Technical teams based both in Leicester and Chessington with both technical and administrative tasks:
Building and configuration of PC's/Laptops
Liaising directly with clients as part of the technical helpdesk team
1st Line Desktop/Server Support
Imaging of PC's/Laptops
Configuring networking equipment
Monitoring of client backups
Log support issues as and when required
Creating documentation of internal and client environments
General administration tasks
Help with general business marketing tasks, such as sending out newsletters or mail shots (depending on the availability of time)
What skills and experience do I need?
You'll need at least five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including Maths, English and either IT or Science. The successful candidate will also possess:
- Have a high passion for IT and proven troubleshooting/break-fix of IT equipment (fixing/building computers, configuring routers)
Excellent communication skills as job involves contacting clients' personnel including company executives, by email and by phone
Strong organisational and management skills
Have a good understanding of IT systems
Have excellent written English skills
Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Be able to communicate and articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Be able to work independently and part of a team
