Who you'll work for
You'll be working in our IT department, reporting to our Service Delivery Manager. This is a critical role working on the Helpdesk along with installing both hardware and Software and you will move into a Field Consultant as well. You'll ensure our IT needs are met efficiently with a seamless customer experience.
As a Network Engineer Apprentice, your job includes:
To log calls on the Helpdesk System and resolve first line technical support issues.
To support clients remotely on PCs, Macs, Android Devices and IPhones.
To handle support calls with Wi-Fi issues.
To build computers PCs/Servers.
Remote and field support for clients.
To identify price and recommend software relating systems quality security.
To identify price and recommend suitable hardware for client requirements.
To troubleshoot technical faults relating hardware/software and provide resolution.
To examine IT systems for potential threats to its security and integrity.
Draw up plans for disaster recovery if security is compromised.
Make recommendations concerning software or system quality.
Any ad-hoc office duties ( as the business demands )
What experience and skills do I need?
You'll need at least five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including Maths, English and either IT or Science.
Therefore, you'll have the following skills:
Good IT Skills ( Windows Operating Systems )
Support Skills ( Mac, OIS, Android )
Good Confident Telephone Manner
Effective time management
Able to prioritise
Report writing skills
Good interpersonal skills
Able to effectively identify issues, escalate & resolve them
