My client are on the lookout for a Platform Engineer to come and join a growing I.T Consultancy.|
You will be responsible for tracking key metrics , such as the software delivery life cycle, as well as using software profiling tools to find and debug problems and drive solutions. Furthermore you will use Lean/Agile development techniques such as Scrum, Kanban and eXtreme whilst promoting a devops culture.
The client are ultimately looking for candidates who can drive the adoption of new technologies,as such, you'll need a background with the following technical skills;
Experience with one or more of Java, Scala, Go, C++, C#,Python, Ruby, NA, as well as one or more scripting language such as Bash, (url removed), PHP and Perl
Linux server configuration with one or more of Chef, Puppet, Ansible or Salt Stack
Experience with virtualisation and/or container technology and tools such as Virtualbox,VMWare, Vagrant, Docker, Kubernetes, CoreOS, Rancher or OpenStack
IaaS services such as Amazon Web Services, Rackspace, Google Cloud Platform, Digital Ocean or similar
Continuous Integration/Deployment tools such as Jenkins, Go, Travis CI or TeamCity
Desirable skills include;
Exposure to either Hadoop, Hbase, HDFS or Apache Spark
Packer, Terraform, Atlas, Consul & Vault
Experience with Dtrace and D
The role can pay up to 100k - for this level of salary we will need to see experience of team leading/technical lead roles on projects.
