A NHS Information Governance Manager is required to work on a 3 months contract (likely to become long term or even permanent) based in Bradford.|
Working for a well established organisation you will be required to lead on the implementation of Information Governance, in line with the Information Governance Strategy and Information Governance Policy.
Roles and responsibility:
-To act as the organisations Lead expert in all areas of Information Governance and Data Quality
- To ensure that this expert knowledge is kept up to date and changes in legislation or national and local policies are communicated effectively to staff at all levels within the organisation.
- Responsible for the development and review of the organisations Information Governance and Data Quality Strategies, including taking responsibility for producing supporting documentation.
- Audit and analyse organisational capabilities with regard to Information Governance and Data Quality, including taking responsibility for the completion and submission of the organisations Information Governance Toolkit return in line with submission guidance and taking the lead on the data quality audit programme.
Key skills required:
-Experience of dealing with issues that are governed by legislation
-Understanding of Information Governance and Data Quality principles and good practices gained with significant years of experience in a comparable/specialist role
-Experience in dealing with data quality issues in the healthcare sector or in another organisation in the private or in the public sector
-Experience of announced and unannounced data quality audit work related to numerous electronic and manual information systems within or outside the healthcare sector
-Able to analyse and report on Information Governance and data quality across the organisation to Senior Management level/Board level
-Knowledge of Information Governance (IG), Data Quality, and Confidentiality Principles.
-Educated to a master's degree level in a subject related to Information Governance, or equivalent work experience/knowledge
For this role the post holder may be required to work elsewhere in the Trust as required.
This role will be paying up to £29.50 per hour (Ltd/Umbrella) and is to start ASAP
