A leading telecommunications client of ours based in Banbury is seeking a Graduate / Junior Product Security Analyst / Penetration tester to join their expanding team. |
Our client has established a Security Evaluations Centre and they are seeking exceptional graduates / juniors that are not afraid to take on a challenge. Our client is seeking technically strong candidates that have a passion for cyber security and a strong interest in penetration testing. Ideally candidates must hold a 2:1 or a 1st in a relevant IT university degree, be switched on and able to understand new technology and take it all in their stride.
The successful candidate will be working in small, multi-disciplined teams, where you shall set about vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of the client's core products which typically run on real-time platforms with a variety of different architecture. A typical day here you shall be doing hands-on black box and white box penetration testing, increasing testing efficiency through automating tools and procedures and running state of the art security and vulnerability assessment tools. You'll be part of a growing team of security professionals with a dynamic environment offering continual professional development with the opportunity to go through training, attain relevant certifications and attend conferences all over the world.
For this role, experience of the following is essential;
- Knowledge/or use of security tools including; Nmap, Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys, Condenomicon Defensics (and an understanding of their limitations)
- Experience of working with non-Windows platforms
- Technical presentation/writing skills
- Scripting/programming skills in Python/Perl/Bash
- Vulnerability assessment
Along with the essential skills, any of the following would be beneficial but not mandatory;
- Programming skills in C, C++ and Java
- Static analysis including usage of tools such as Coverity
- Telecommunications experience (protocols and topologies)
- One of more of CEH, OWASP, GIAC, OSCP certifications
- Embedded system design, development or testing
