WE are working in partnership with our growing FMCG manufacturing client who currently investing & expanding significantly. As a result they will need more Maintenance Engineers at their facility based within the Milton Keynes area. As the Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be the primary electrician on shift, working with the Supervisors & shift Managers to plan site maintenance.|
Key Job Description:
You have the chance to join a strong engineering team & add value to their operation. As this business continues to grow & further invest in automated machinery, it is important that they maintain their efficiency. As the primary Maintenance Electrician on shift, you be working cross functionally with the mechanical department & the production team in order to maintain OEE.
Key Job Responsibilities include:
-Maintaining, testing, troubleshooting & repairing industrial electrical equipment & associated electrical/electronic control.
-Maintaining, repairing, testing & installing electrical motor & control systems.
-PLC & Electrical fault-finding.
-Basic PLC control design, troubleshooting, reading ladder logic.
-Using ACAD for electrical schematics would be an advantage.
-Interpreting electrical schematic drawings & diagrams.
-Project work from initial design through to completion.
-Working with the wider business in order to ensure machinery safety systems & safety related control systems including programmable safety controllers.
-Overseeing in safety procedures (lockout/tagout, permit to work).
Key Candidate's Requirements:
The successful applicant will be a Maintenance Electrician/ Electrical Engineer with:
-Formal engineering qualifications (e.g. an electrical/electronic degree or a Time served engineer).
-PLC fault finding experience (Preferably knowledge of Siemens TI505, Allen Bradley slc500/Contrologix).
-The ability to make PLC modifications.
-Proven experience in fault finding & diagnostics on variable speed drive & associated control wiring.
-Experience of drive setup & encoder feedback would be an advantage
-Experience of working in a high volume 24/7 continuous process manufacturing environment.
-17th edition training
-Flexibility & able to work on the 4 On 4 Off 12 hours shift pattern including days & nights.
