Engineering Team Leader:|
A really exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic, safety conscious & progressive thinking Engineering Team Leader to join our client`s busy FMCG manufacturing site based within the Stevenage area.
The ideal candidate will have held similar level positions in a relevant FMCG environment & will thrive working within a fast-paced environment.
Key Job Duties:
-Safety First! To improve & maintain a safe working environment including the timely completion of accident investigations & any actions required. Ensuring that team members are fully aware & comply with all Health & Safety standards, company & legal requirements. E.g. COSHH, HACCP, MHE compliance.
-You will be at your best driving forward safe working practices & communication through your teams, whilst coaching & developing the team around you will lead to influencing process changes through Continuous Improvement.
-The main aim of this role will be to co-ordinate the maintenance activity to provide sufficient resource to carry out the planned Maintenance programme & to provide emergency/breakdown cover across the shift to generate continuous improvement in the cost & quality of engineering performance.
-To lead a team achieving targeted levels of performance, customer satisfaction, quality standards & other KPI's.
-The role holder will be responsible for a team of 2 shift-based Maintenance Engineers including responsibility for assessment & appraisal.
-The job`s KPI's include:
-Health & Safety.
-To ensure all teams are aware of & comply with statutory regulations & company standards related to Health & Safety.
-Performance including OEE & CCOs.
-Reduction of damage & breakdowns.
-Support any NPD initiatives.
-Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule adherence.
-Identify training needs.
-Ensure all planned maintenance work is completed to the required standard
-Liaise with manufacturing FLM to ensure that engineering workload is prioritised correctly so as to meet.
-Identify possible improvements within manufacturing to reduce cost & improve quality.
-Ensure full shift report is completed for handover to oncoming shift.
-Ensure quality systems & process controls are followed by engineering teams.
-Work with manufacturing teams to improve CCOs, reduce slow running, damage & breakdowns thereby.
The shift pattern is a rotating 4 On / 4 Off continental shift pattern; compromising of 2 Days & 2 Nights within the 4 Days.
It is a rotating 12 hour shift on both Days & Nights from around 07:00am-7:00pm with time for handover etc. You would work 42 hours per week.
