A Project Engineer is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Engineering client based in Cumbria.
This is a 6 month contract working for a leading UK defence business.
Overview of the Project Engineer contract role
A vacancy exists within the manage assets PM team as a Project Engineer, working as a key part engaging with stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
You will be confident and a strong multi-tasker able to manage a number of projects effectively, to timescales, quality and within budget. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to work with, and lead, a number of different stakeholders both internally and externally. You will be proactive with exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. Good IT skills are essential and SAP knowledge preferred.
Key skills required for the Project Engineer
* The candidate will have recognised PM training/qualification.
* Experience of stakeholder management.
* Risk management experience.
* People management experience.
* Quality and Safety awareness.
The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District.
