Noble Russell manufactures bespoke contract furniture and fittings for the leading names in Architecture and Interior Design. Their furniture consultancy offers a complete service from initial concept to finished product. They offer clients extensive technical knowledge gained in twenty three years of furniture production, personally managing the entire manufacturing process from initial sketch to final installation, so that their exacting standards are always met. Their expertise and facilities enable them to take on large scale contracts, but they also produce one-off commissions.
Noble Russell was established in 1992 by Directors Laurence Noble and Jerry Russell and they were joined soon after by the third Director Jonathan Fort. Whilst looking for suitable premises, the ideal workshop was discovered in the picturesque market town of Uppingham in Rutland. Over the years the business has developed a fantastic reputation. They have created a highly skilled team of craftsmen, enabling them to design and manufacture hand-made products with exceptional quality.
As a result of continued growth they are now looking to recruit the following position:
Furniture Finisher / Bench Joiner / Cabinet Maker
Primarily based in the spray shop looking after all aspects of the finishing process. You will be required to manage the process from start to finish producing initial samples and cataloguing them, followed by replicating the methods employed on the final job. You will have experience in staining solid and veneered timber (both rag and spray staining ) and lacquering clear and solid colours to a very high standard.
You may also be required to work on the bench form time to time as our small team has to be flexible depending on the work load. Bench skills would be an advantage.
You will have a high level of skill and a depth of experience in the making of bespoke furniture. Working with a small team of makers you will be able to take on projects from start to finish and meet agreed deadlines. A thorough knowledge of timber conversion machines is essential as well as experience in using varied timber types and sheet materials

Salary dependent on experience
