Test & Development Engineer / Mechanical Engineer|
Monday - Thursday 8.30 - 5pm
Friday 8.30 - 4.30pm
Salary negotiable depending on skill & experience
Due to growth of our client TM Resourcing (Technical Division) are currently looking for an enthusiastic Engineer to join our client, who are the industry leaders in cooling systems.
Excellent analytical and problem solving ability, capable of logically assessing options using a variety of methods and statistical tools. Being able to accurately produce and record quality data is a fundamental skill.
Skills required for Phase 1 - Design, Construction & Commissioning
Contribute to the safe design, specification, procurement, construction and commissioning of test facilities
Commission test rig solutions as part of a cross functional team
Mechanical and / or electrical skills and experience
Implementation and development of control and instrumentation electronics, specifically LabView, PLC based test control systems and National Instruments hardware
Development of specifications and concepts for new test rigs and upgrades to existing rigs
Verification, maintenance and calibration of equipment
Installation of test fixtures and test components, Hands on fitting experience
Devising and maintaining test standards
PC skills, competent with CAD Software and Microsoft Office
Skills required for Phase 2 - Operation & Development
A 'Test Technician' will carry out R&D work on both current and new projects taking part in physical testing and validation to expand the knowledge of the team and help move projects forward. They will be able to assess and create test processes that evolve through continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate would have experience in running and controlling test rigs and be responsible for installing test fixtures, test components and prototype parts. They will have a good understanding of core engineering test procedures and equipment and be able to specify experimental programmes and effectively capture data, analyse results, summarise findings and make recommendations.
The successful candidate would complete an initial 3 month contract with the possibility of developing the role into a full time position
