Technical Sales Manager (Precision Engineering)|
HQ in North West (role can be based UK-wide)
£45,000 basic + bonus + company car + equity potential
Our client is an established and highly-profitable precision engineering business based in the North West of the UK. They design, manufacture and supply precision engineered components for a wide variety of industrial applications. The company has an existing, broad customer base within automotive, aerospace and medical device manufacturers throughout the UK and Europe. Their expertise, combined with a tenured workforce and modern facilities means the company can provide a consistently high-quality service and a diverse range of products.
As a result of recent succession planning by the Directors, a lucrative opportunity now exists for a proven and successful sales manager to join the team. A key part of the succession plan is that the appointee will gain equity and become a shareholder after approximately 12 months.
Your primary function will be to act as the companies' sales interface, delivering exceptional levels of service to current clients and identifying and driving new opportunities for the company. The role requires a technically aware and ambitious business development professional who fully understands the engineering sales process and has a proven track-record of selling into manufacturing industries. As a member of the senior management team, you will have full autonomy of your own diary and appointments on a day-to-day basis, identifying leads and also working with the marketing function to increase the organisations' profile.
Skills and Experience
* A minimum of 5 years' experience of selling engineered components
* Commercially aware with the ability to influence at all levels
* Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
* Enthusiastic and self-motivated
* Target driven and hard working
* Ambitious and passionate about winning new business contracts and representing the company.
