From the boots on their feet to the bergen on their back, from ration packs to fighter jets, the men and women of the British Armed Forces depend on all kinds of supplies and equipment. Supporting them, you will have the scope to enjoy, achieve and grow, through to the vital importance of the work you’ll do, we offer a role you can be proud of. A role at the very heart of the maritime enterprise that underpins the British Armed Forces. Maritime Engineering is about supporting Britain’s fleet around the globe. It’s about helping to secure international peace and security. It’s about helping to protect lives, and being the force behind the Forces. It is worth every ounce of your passion and skill.

Your role

Joining the exceptional engineers at our Ships Operating Centre, you’ll work closely with the Royal Navy, Royal Fleet Auxiliary and our partners in industry. You will be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team that brings to life some of the biggest, most important projects in the nation. Projects of extraordinary size and scope - from aircraft carriers to combat ships, offshore patrol vessels to tankers. And the range of opportunities is just as broad. Our Project, In-Service and Functional Specialist roles span all kinds of engineering specialties. Each one will see you enjoy unique experiences, gain valuable skills and hone your skills at engineering’s leading edge.

Your background

You may be an Electronic Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Project or Safety Engineer. You might have maritime experience, or you could simply have transferable skills and a keen desire to do good for Britain and the world. If you are a registered Engineering Technician (or ready to achieve registration within 12 months) and you’re ready for high profile, fast paced projects, we’re keen to hear from you. In additional to your engineering skills, we’ll be looking for strong spoken and written English, and a flair for dealing with customers or clients to resolve complex issues.

Your benefits

We offer a wealth of benefits. And perks like on-site gym, tennis courts, restaurants, bistros and hairdressers are just the start. Performance-related pay and a generous pension scheme will make sure you’re fairly rewarded. But we’ll also support you to excel. Wherever possible, we’ll flex to suit your working preferences and lifestyle demands. Excellent maternity allowances and a minimum of 25 days’ holiday will help you strike the right balance, while opportunities to train and gain professional qualifications will help you achieve your goals.
