Senior Project Controller (m/f) role in Johannesburg (South Africa)
The Senior Project Controller will act as the financial business partner on projects supporting the Project Core Team and Divisional Leadership Team.

Manage specific instructions and internal / external client instructions
Comply with Company financial procedures and insure local procedures are maintained
Ensure Annual CA registration and CPD points
Ensure the project comply to local financial statutory requirements and standards
Attend and play an active role in all relevant meetings
Monitor and analysis of site related costs
Lead annual budget reviews. Variances must be quickly identified and analyzed. Be able to make recommendations and solutions to remedy the situation
Day to day budget control, forecasts; and management of the EAC
Lead the development of bottom-up budget for the Gautrain Maintenance project
Ensure sound project finances from a controlling perspective
Work closely with the accounting and reporting team in order to ensure sound project finances
Support the internal Risk and Opportunity process and reporting
Internal and external stakeholder relationship management
Coordinate with external and internal auditors on the Project Activities.
Ad hoc cost and financial analysis
Minimum 5 years post-articles experience in railway/construction/manufacturing/infrastructure industry
Minimum 2 years' experience in a senior role
Experience in multinational environment will be advantageous
Good accounting plus project controlling knowledge
Good reporting and accounting skills
Strong background in financial analytics/financial processes
Understanding of project management and project finance
Sound knowledge of contract management tools and techniques
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Exposure to SAP advantageous
Exposure to BAAN advantageous

Strong management and problem solving skills
Strong relationship building and networking skills across business functions

Ability to work in a team
Good verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation
English business fluent is mandatory for this position
