Job: Asbestos Quality Manager, Manchester, Neg Day Rate|
An exciting opportunity has arisen within an up and coming asbestos consultancy based in Manchester. They require an asbestos Quality Manager on an initial part-time basis to take them forward in their exciting plan to achieve UKAS accreditation within the next 12 months.
The consultancy can boast a diverse portfolio of very interesting and challenging contracts across mainly commercial and contaminated land sectors, and they see gaining the UKAS accreditation as a cornerstone of their forward plan. This is an essential interim assignment for them and the successful postholder will play a vitally important role in moving the consultancy forward.
* Overseeing output of surveying teams from a quality point of view.
* Setting up a asbestos sampling lab and helping with the appointment of analysts
* Maintaining and developing Quality Managing Systems towards again UKAS accreditation to ISO17020 and ISO17025.
* Carrying out onsite audits, inspections and quality control.
* Liaising with UKAS.
* Advising on training requirements.
* Complying with UKAS documentation and procedures.
* Liaising with the company's portfolio of clients as and when required.
You must hold the BOHS P402 - P405 qualifications or RSPH equivalent as a minimum whilst a CCP in asbestos would be desirable. An experience of working in contaminated land is highly desirable also.
As well as really making a difference in the short-term, my client have advised that if all goes according to plan then there are wider and greater longer term opportunities for the successful post-holder. An eventual role heading up the entire asbestos division with an equity share is on the table also.
