About the role
Interserve Healthcare is a leading care provider who puts care at the heart of everything we do. We support a range of clients varying in age and care requirements which can include mental health, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and clients with more complex clinical needs.
As a Support Worker in this role duties will vary dependent on each clients individual care plan. These may include personal care, assistance with moving and handling, support with community outings and medication administration.
Ideally the applicant would have experience of supporting clients with learning disabilities and complex health needs, however, free bespoke and mandatory training will be provided by the company. This young lady needs an enthusiastic, motivated support worker to promote independence and positive social inclusion. This would include accessing day care centres and social activities using the mobility car provided. We need additional workers in this care package to cover Mon- Fri 8:00am - 19.00pm and ensure cover is maintained .Shadow shifts would be provided for any new candidates joining this team.
Following skills & experience required:
• 6 months previous care experience - Essential
• Experience of working with clients with complex care needs - Desirable
• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and listening - Essential
• Have a caring and compassionate attitude - Essential
• Can commit to regular hours - Desirable
Drivers over 24 required to escort client using the clients mobility vehicle.
The following skills and experience would be desirable, however both mandatory and bespoke training is proved free of charge:
• Medication management including medication via nebuliser
• Manual handling
