A modular build company based in Central London who specialise in modular residential properties within the South East of England. Their interior pods are created to finish within a warehouse, and the transported and placed on site and exterior walls are added. With two big projects coming up in the next year, of over 100 houses each, they are looking to expand their team.
Your new role
The company are looking for a Site Manager to be based in their current modular factory in Kent. The role will be to oversee the building of interiors which will then be delivered and placed on site. Interiors will include a timber framed entire floor of a house with multiple rooms, finished in its entirety with M&E, windows, doors, NA timber floor is then placed on site, and pre made floors will be placed above, or below it. Duties within the factory will include supervising trades, driving continuous improvement within the process and the finish, implementing and adhering to health and safety, ensuring quality outputs and liaising with the Onsite Site Manager to schedule and delivery interiors. This is a construction Site Manager role just within a new and exciting setting, there will be an expectation of working long hours, and weekend work is probable.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have Site Manager experience on residential new build or fit-out projects. You will also come from a carpentry background, and be willing to help out on the tools if needs be. Preferably you will hold an NVQ in a construction management related discipline, and will be looking for permanent work within a new and innovative company. An organised approach to your work is needed, and you need to have the ability to follow technical drawings and plans, whilst problem solving as you go. You must be willing to work weekends for this role, as it is a very high intensity position with a quick build needed.
