As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer you will be working in an automated environment as part of a maintenance team, providing PPM, Continuous Improvement maintenance, plus occasional project work for machine improvements and new installations. |
Applications are invited from Maintenance Engineers with a strong Electrical and good PLC, Controls and Automation skills, either apprentice trained or educated to City & Guilds Level with experience of the Food/FMCG/Distribution or an automated environment.
A mixture of early & late shifts- Early: 6:30-2:30/ Late: 2:00-10:00
We are looking for the following skills and experience:
An experienced electrical engineer who can bring a wealth of maintenance experience to the team
Must be able to work at heights
Ideally you'll come from a FMCG industry
Familiar with regular use of electrical schematics and be able to demonstrate competence with fault finding around sophisticated control systems, which include the use of PLC systems and AC/DC drives linked via industrial networks
Knowledge of ControlNet/DeviceNet/Ethernet/DH+/Profibus applications is advantageous, although not essential
Work towards achieving system, engineering and personal KPI's
Daily liaison with the site operational leaders to share work plans and requirements
Shift log/incidents analysis.
Support for other members of the team
Support for the Assistant Engineering Team Leader, filling in for his duties as required.
The ideal engineer will be time served or hold a recognised electrical engineering qualification or electrical appreciation, and have experience of maintaining automated storage or FMCG. You must have a minimum 3 years Electrical/electronic experience within an engineering environment, experience of fault finding, electrical equipment, conveyors, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, stripping and refitting. An appreciation of PLC's, would be highly beneficial with knowledge of ControlNet/DeviceNet/Ethernet/DH+/Profibus applications is advantageous
