* Provide specialist Diagnostic and technical support to Depots when needed with the aim of making Depots self-sufficient in this respect.
* Identify equipment and/or training opportunities to optimise engineering performance.
* Lead where required on new technologies and techniques through depot trials or experiments and present all findings to senior management.
* Monitor all incident investigations, H&S and engineering audits, identify lessons learned and support the Depot Teams in developing and completing relevant action plans.
* Assist the depot teams where required in the development and implementation of action plans to address issues raised through technical bulletins & OEM recalls.
* Support the standardisation of engineering processes and procedures for the Region.
* If required for short periods and with the agreement of the Regional ED, act as temporary cover for engineering management and supervision roles.
* Support the development and implementation of future safety, environmental & maintenance strategies.

The role offers a competitive salary, contributory pension scheme and concessionary travel.
