My client is an 85 year old international M&E consultancy which specialises in a range of mission critical and high technology projects. This provides staff with top of the line projects that are â€œout of the ordinaryâ€ with exciting professional challenges.
The London office has been operating since mid-2011 and is looking for a chartered mechanical engineer with at least 8+ yearsâ€™ experience to be a key figure within the London office, helping to lead and grow the mechanical team. The right person will be a well-rounded engineer capable of working independently or as part of a team on all stages of projects from feasibility through providing support during construction. The role will also entail aspects of project management on major projects whilst developing and managing client relationships. A critical element of the role is the ability to instruct, support, guide and develop fellow mechanical engineers.

The right candidate shall meet the following as a minimum:
Excellent written, verbal and computer literacy skills
Proven track-record within a client facing role in consulting engineering environment
Experience with large scale cooling water and HVAC systems
Experience of being technical lead on projects
Familiarity with UK regulations and UK design experience
Key Role Tasks
Manage, train and motivate mechanical engineering team
Drive sustainable and energy efficient solutions
Working to schedule and budget
Take responsibility for all mechanical aspects of the design and co-ordinate with other disciplines
Continually improve standards and quality of designs
Manage and control team resources and fees on projects
