An opening for a Bid Writer has become available to work for a vibrant and ambitious Highways/Civils business who provide engineering services to the UK transport infrastructure. |
Candidates must have previous exposure to the bidding cycle, proven successful copy writing skills with an eye for detail, having held roles in Bids, proposals, submissions, tendering and/or work winning teams.
You will be expected to liaise with bid managers and their teams to provide editorial support and guidance, so that bids are written to the highest possible standards. You will assist the bid manager in developing, managing and monitoring the progress of the submission against the bid program. You will produce high quality and customer focused written material for bid submissions in line with the clients 'in-house style', and will provide structural, written and editorial support to the bid teams and other company wide teams. You will help the bid team with sourcing of information to maximise best practice.
Bid Writer Skills/Knowledge requirements include:
A self-starter that is eager to learn and progress within a very "hands on approach" environment
Good understanding and/ or front line experience of operations in an engineering environment
Capable to demonstrate records of success in formulating and delivering winning bids/projects
The ability to identify, develop and incorporate high quality technical processes into bid submissions
A strong use of oral and written English, with the ability to present complex ideas in a straightforward and easily understandable way
Excellent copy-writing skills with the ability to rework technical content for a wider audience
Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant subject
In return you will receive a salary of up to £40,000 pa, dependent on experience, benefits include pension and an annual leave entitlement of 26 days.
