We are looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client based in Inverness.

• Experience in commercial management of self-delivery resources (labour, plant and materials)
• Experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors, including chairing regular meetings, measurement and control cycle, certificates and accrual calculations
• Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis
• Ability to meet deadlines without compromising on quality
• Generates good working relationships with Clients and Consultants to foster repeat business
• Operate the systems necessary to manage the contract effectively
• Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements
• Provide support to the site team on contract requirements
• Work closely with buyer and others to ensure best value subcontract packages are secured
• Production of cost value reconciliation reports and forecast cash recovery and ensure both are kept in line with target
• Ensure applications for payment and invoices are completed and submitted to ensure payment is
made to terms and within work in progress (WIP) and cash targets
• Manage subcontractor accounts including preparation of subcontracts and payments
• Liaise with the customer, customer representatives and other third parties on commercial issues, including agreement of variations, claims and additional payments
• Carry out monthly project cost and value reviews and assist accurate and timely cost allocation
• Carryout detailed project cost to completions from start to end of project
• Financial closure of projects ensuring all costs and value are allocated in correct systems in a timely and consistent manner
• All other duties as may be assigned

HND/BSC in Quantity Surveying

Experience required:
Ability to deliver multiple small to medium sized projects and possess the organisational skills required to do so to demanding deadlines
Experience in encouraging team work

Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of conditions of contract including NEC and JCT forms
Knowledge of variety of civil engineering methods
