Our Client

We are working with a leading main contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced Bid Manager to join their Pre-Construction team in Manchester.
The role reports in to reports in to an enthusiastic and supportive Pre-Construction Manager and includes the responsibility for leading a number of tenders of varying sizes and types.
The company have a long, successful history in the North West and are experiencing controlled growth through success on a number of key public sector Frameworks together with good relationships with many of the leading private sector clients/developers.
They operate in a number of sectors including; Education, Residential, Leisure, Industrial and Commercial on projects up to the value of £90m.
They have made key additions to their North West senior team in recent years and are open to new ideas that improve current systems and procedures.

The Role

You will take ownership for the development and successful delivery of pre-qualifications, proposals and tenders for projects based throughout the North West.
Develop and champion win strategies.
Responsible for early client engagement and effective communication throughout the bid process.
Receive and understand tender documents and develop targeted proposals that meet/exceed the client's needs and aspirations.
Proof read all documentation.
To liaise with the commercial, design, planning, procurement and operational teams building their input into the bids.
Manage and lead a small bid team ensuring key bid milestones are hit ensuring the bid is clear, concise and effectively meets/exceeds the requirements.


You will have worked in a Bid / Pre-Construction Management role previously with one of the larger contractors.
You will have an indepth understanding of the construction market and be able to inspire confidence in internal and external stakeholders.
You will be commercially aware and based in or be able to commute to the North West of England daily.
