ABOUT THE JOB
You will be responsible for the management of the construction site to achieve the required project delivery in line with the customers' objectives. You will be required to ensure that standards of health & safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control are maintained.
You will be delivering multiple on-going projects to a specified quality and programme and will be expected to maximise commercial performance. This will involve working closely with the Estimating Department, Engineers & Surveyors to ensure that projects are completed in a safe manner, whilst customer requirements and expectations are maintained or exceeded.
Key responsibilities will include;
* Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans, RAMS, ITP's and waste management plans are in line with Company procedures.
* Produce and manager the project programme and prepare 2 weeks "look ahead".
* Produce procurement schedules and liaise with the procurement department to ensure sites have adequate resources to complete the tasks.
Undertake an ambassadorial role representing the business to customers, public and official bodies.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Applications are invited from professional individuals possessing previous water experience with the expertise of safe, profitable and timely delivery of a wide array of technically complex and challenging water / utility projects.
Considerable experience in Civil Engineering.
Working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.
Good knowledge of specifications and testing regime relevant to general civil engineering.
Excellent communication, people and team management skills.
Able to challenge designs and resolve problems to conclusion.
Ability to demonstrate the right behaviours and lead the team to ensure the culture is in line with the Company values.
Ability to lead and motivate the team to ensure high levels of compliance.
Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
CEng MICE or equivalent - ideally.
CSCS Managers card.
IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS.
Temporary Works Co-ordinator.
Knowledge of Primavera P6 software.
Knowledge of JCT form of contract.
Confined space training.
