We have an excellent opportunity to join one of the leading Digital Mobile radio providers in the world. This role offers much scope for you to develop your skills in a demanding technical administration role. My client are very much looking for an individual who can demonstrate a strong technical acumen and an ability to understand and communicate product knowledge effectively to clients.

Reporting into the Service Manager, this position is office based. You will be someone with a strong technical aptitude and interest in technology, and MUST be someone with experience of providing helpdesk/technical support within the Digital Mobile Radio industry.

Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

Provide 1st level telephone customer support for fault diagnosis and technical guidance.

Focus on rapid identification and resolution of customer issues and documenting all customer interaction.

Technical assistance for Hardware and software applications

Answer questions and perform intimal triage on problem reports

Provide assistance in the administration of an online RMA system.

Dealing with and processing daily paperwork associated with a busy technical workshop

Assisting in maintaining internal equipment, such as printers, laptops, scanners and PC's

Assisting and supporting with system upgrades and setting up new devices.

Liaise with Sales Engineering team to make sure all enquiries have been solved satisfactorily

Apply for and maintain a log of licence applications for devices.

Configuration of product if necessary. (full training will be given)

Administrating Demo equipment stocks and despatching where required.

Assisting bench technicians. (as required)

Skills and experience:

At least two-three years' work experience with two-way radio industry

Knowledge of wireless communications

Computer programming knowledge and skills

Strong customer service skills and be competent to answer customers' questions as the first contact point

A good team player who can demonstrate a positive and self-motivated attitude. Someone who comes from and thrives in a technical environment and understands Digital Mobile Radio and radio frequencies will be well suited to this position.
