IT Support Technician (1st Line) |
Working within the IT team for a major blue-chip client in Nottingham, you will start your career as an IT Support Technician before developing new skills that will allow you to support a range of enterprise level infrastructure. Working closely with the Technical Support Manager you will quickly diagnose and resolve a range of IT issues related to hardware, networking connectivity, software, virtual machines etc.
Placing ownership at the heart of what you will do, you will ensure that you take responsibility for problems and incidents, reporting progress back to the internal customer/user. The IT team place service excellence and customer service and work with professionalism and agility at all times. The team are super savvy tech's that are focused on delivering the best fix first time!

The idea candidate will have no less than 6 months experience working in industry / business / commercially as an IT support technician. Any previous experience of working on a service desk / helpdesk would be a major advantage.
Basic level of experience required
1. Understanding of Windows 7 to 10
2. Good understanding of Microsoft Office
3. Basic understanding of Networking / Connectivity / Wireless / IP
4. Understanding of Active Directory - setting up users, resetting passwords, managing user accounts
The IT team covers support from 7am to 5.30pm. There is an excellent shift rota which gives a good level of flexibility. Position is based in central Nottingham close to train and bus stations. Environment is exceptional, with outside work space, onsite restaurant, costa coffee etc.
