We are looking for a strong senior manager with extensive IT and Business Systems experience to develop and execute an IT strategy that supports the Division's business objectives whilst being aligned with the Group's IT strategy. |
This will be achieved through the evolution of the Division's IT capability and service offering, by maturing IT governance and moving towards a business partnering and engagement model.
This exciting role requires strong influencing and leadership skills to oversee the successful delivery of IT activities in support of business or IT led projects and initiatives.
Job objectives and responsibilities
•Develop and execute a Divisional IT strategy aligned with Group IT strategy.
•Represent the People Services division on the Group IT Board.
•Work closely with business unit MDs and other Functional Leaders to understand and influence the Division's business strategy.
•Sign off IT components on all bids to customers.
•Approve and where appropriate manage all IT activity within the Division.
•Work closely with peers in other Divisions and IT Shared Services to help shape the Group's IT strategy and plan.
•Overall IT responsibility on behalf of the Division irrespective of whether the IT service is delivered within the Division, via IT Shared Services or 3rd party suppliers.
Foster effective and efficient engagement practice with business colleagues to understand and support their business systems needs and those of their customers.
•Identify opportunities for prototyping where appropriate, develop business cases and on approval successfully deploy technology and or information enabled solutions to deliver business efficiencies or support business growth.
•Manage IT investment and expenditure on behalf of the Division to deliver the desired outcomes with maximum business value at lowest cost.
•Develop and manage a high performing Divisional IT function to meet the demands of the Division whilst remaining aligned to the Group IT operating model.
•Develop and manage key supplier relationships.
•Create and deliver a data and analytics strategy assisting the business to understand and exploit management information.
•Oversee the successful delivery of IT activities in support of business or IT led projects and initiatives ensuring;
•Consistent systems and supplier governance is in place;
•Adhererence with Group Information Security policies
•Professional and Group standards are applied (e.g. Project Management, App Development)
•Budget, time and quality measures are consistently met;
•Clearly sequence and communicate the delivery of business demand.
•Provide management and direction for the Division's IT team.
•Manage and drive maximum business value from the People Services IT budget.
•Support and promote Divisional and Group IT capability with existing and prospective customers as required.
•Motivate and nurture IT talent within the Division and support the development of it both within the Division and across the Group.
