An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced TDM Scrum Master to work within Central Government on a contract basis. The position will be based in Southend on Sea offering up to a maximum of £540 per day LTD company for an initial 2 month contract.

Key Tasks:

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) - Customs & International Trade (C&IT) requires a Scrum Master to work on the Customs Declaration System Project

This specific requirement will include the development and delivery of a prototype HMRC intranet web site with an initial focus on content and search.

This will look at both new, open source, technology and will assess and report on potential improvements to existing functionality.

The work of C&IT includes the design and delivery of new HMRCs IT systems and changes to existing systems to ensure that the IT services delivered meet HMRCs needs and objectives in the most cost-effective way and in accordance with strategic design principles and standards.

Specialist Skills:

JIRA ,JIRA Agile and Confluence

Very strong technical background either as a Business Analyst, Software Developer, Quality Analyst or Project Manager

Lead teams who delivered successful enterprise software development projects, most of which will have been working on bespoke built enterprise OO applications (ideally Java and Scala)

Successfully applied Agile/XP/Scrum/Kanban practices and introduced Agile techniques and have coached teams to apply them effectively, thanks to your Agile expertise and outstanding communication skills

Experienced in the role of Scrum Master

Proficient in managing scope in an Agile project and facilitating the user story lifecycle in close collaboration with the customer/Product Owner, including breaking down complex requirements into independent user stories, capturing detailed acceptance criteria, building a release plan with user, managing the backlog, running showcases

Exceptional listening, written and verbal communication skills including exceptional client facing/consulting skills

Will have your own opinions about how to build great software and be prepared to defend them

Experience of managing the onboarding of new staff and addressing the risks when the dynamics of a Scrum team changes

Knowledge and experience of delivery within a Service Oriented Architecture

WSO2 ESB knowledge and experience

Knowledge of Business Process Management tools, their use and delivery.
