Due to the growth of our client they are now looking to recruit an IT Test Manager to join their IT Projects Team. |
Reporting to the Head of Projects the IT Test Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the business and software testing and test cycles to ensure that products and packages are fully suitable and meet business requirements before there release for use.
The TM will write the test strategy and plan in accordance with the timescales agreed in the overall programme plan
Supervise the test resources and assess the resource requirements
Once the unit and system testing is complete, the TM will execute the testing plan with support from the testing team and UAT team where available
Any defects will be raised through the agreed escalation process and the TM will report on this and the resolutions / workarounds
The TM will support the 'testing complete' sign off by the business
Manage the full testing process, using best practice and methodology
Responsible for creating test scripts and templates as these do not exist in the business currently
Understand the business context within which the IT systems operate and understand the technology and architectures in use within the IT systems
Responsible for the successful completion of the testing cycles (design, planning, test case development, execution and closure) as agreed in the programme plan
Education & Experience required:
Ideally Educated to a degree standard within a IT or Technical subject
ISTQB Certified is not essential but would be advantageous
Experience of creating Test Strategies.
Experience of Programme Test Management.
Experience of working in an agile environment.
Experience of technical and/or data migration testing.
Experience of engaging with stakeholders at all levels
Excellent written and verbal skills
Excellent presentation skills
