Job title: Project Manager (Managed Print Services)|
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Reports to: Programme Manager

Our client is one of the UK's leading and well-established providers of managed print services and document solutions.
Our client has been trading for over 20 years providing a variety of private and public sector clients with print hardware, software and managed services.
Overall responsible for the project planning, leading and delivering of assigned client solutions as assigned by the Programme Manager
To support prospect presentation and be part of the initial solution design team on large corporate solutions.
At preferred bidder stage to take the lead and establish clear project structures, solution blueprints and implementation approach between the client and company.
Ensure that projects have a clear scope and deliverables before developing a detailed project plan and seeing it through to successful completion, managing risks and issues along the way.
To coordinate the solution implementation across all internal function and the client to ensure delivery to time and agreed scope. To manage out of scope requirement in a commercial manner to ensure minimal impact of solution profitability.
Responsible for the transferring of information in relation to contractual and service levels to the relevant departmental heads of the business to ensure a smooth go live and clear understanding of service delivery expectations.
Effectively engage and develop strong working relationships with all project stakeholders involved and affected by the project. Adapting own style and approach where needed to influence and ensure effect delivery.
Ensure that the agreed project methodology is met, using documentation, tools, and providing timely and accurate progress updates, targeted at the appropriate audience and / or governing body.
Establish and maintain risk and issue registers, assessing likelihood and impact, providing mitigating actions as part of the fortnightly flash report. Manage conflict and ensure affective upward management of risks and issue into the business to ensure successful delivery of the project
Manage third party relationships where appropriate ensuring that dependencies are identified and managed and deliverables are achieved as defined in the project plan and without incurring any additional costs or delays to the project.
Ensure the company and the customer are ready to receive and accept changes, ensuring change management activities are undertaken prior to implementation.
Conduct post implementation reviews on completed projects, ensuring resulting recommendations are collated and available for use in subsequent projects.
Align the customer to the expected implementation plan and agree and set expectations ensuring that this is in line with operational best practices where possible.
Close relations with operations to ensure all areas have a cohesive approach to the project delivery and BAU going forward.
Champion operational process improvement effecting future project success.
Responsible for the clear communication to stakeholders on project status and programme reporting.
Responsible for the post implementation and embedding activities for the smooth transitioning from project to BAU and ensure business processes and reports are aligned to support the new project.
Where necessary lead internal change projects which will be identified as part of the annual business improvement plan.
Essential Skills / Qualifications & Requirements
Have at least 2 years Project Management experience within the MPS industry.
Hold a valid Prince 2 Practitioner Qualification or equivalent (in date)
Has a minimum of 5 years project management experience within a project manager role.
Has experience and can demonstrate the ability of managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
Can demonstrate the ability and experience of having managed into the detail.
Can demonstrate clear evidence of the existence of base-lined project plans, project initiation documents, milestone progress reporting in line with agreed methodology.
Knowledge of project management methodologies and proven record of successfully implementing multi projects simultaneously.
High level written and oral communication and influencing skills.
Experience in business transformation and transition
Microsoft Excel to intermediate or advanced level
Microsoft Projects experience
Experience of a good understanding of contracts is desirable
A full driving licence as the role will require a fair amount of travelling
