Supporting the transformation of the Council to an enabling, entrepreneurial and leading digital Council:|
* Identify new approaches and solutions to business issues through the analysis of customer journeys, business processes and workflows;
* Facilitate stakeholder groups to consensus regarding new, optimised and where appropriate, automated customer journey, business process and workflow designs to make life easier and more enjoyable for customers, staff and suppliers; and
* Work with stakeholder groups to deliver change through the development of businesses cases, and testing, piloting and embedding solutions.
1 Planning the business analysis activities.
2 Customer journey mapping (illustrating and analysing all the points our external customers come into contact with Slough Borough Council both online and offline, and internal customers come into contact with other departments or services).
3 Business process and workflow mapping, analysis and design (analysing and illustrating existing business processes and workflows, using customer input, eliciting customer and staff requirements and reviewing process performance to design, illustrate and specify desirable reengineered business processes and workflows).
4 Working with HR business partners to identify the appropriate skills and staff required to run the new business processes.
5 Working with HR business partners to identify and design the culture and behaviours appropriate to the new business processes.
6 Working with finance and performance managers to identify and design the management systems required to run and monitor the new business processes.
7 Working with IT business partners to specify requirements for changes to, or new, IT systems.
8 Working with Facilities to specify requirements for changes to, or new, facilities.
9 Supporting the development of business cases (understanding the impact of changes on legislative requirements, corporate risks, customer outcomes and business benefits, strategy, general business operations and systems).
10 Facilitating testing and de-bugging re-designed processes.
11 Facilitating piloting re-designed processes.
12 Contributing towards the development of corporate policies, standards and best practices
