Vantage Consulting are on the lookout for a Project Engineer to join one of the largest and most successful transport and specialist Heavy Lift companies in the United Kingdom.
As a Project Engineer, you will be assisting the Projects Management Team with the design of innovative, high quality, cost effective engineering designs and safe solutions for our clients.
Your main responsibility will be to provide engineering solutions of clients` heavy transport, specialist lifting and installation requirements. This will involve the production of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), equipment lists, engineering design drawings, design calculations, rigging studies, operations programmes, and specialist equipment requirements for both proposals and the execution of works whilst ensuring the documentation complies with statutory regulations, customer and company procedures. You will be joining an established, committed team of professionals in a busy Specialist Projects environment.
Being self-motivated is important, as well as being a good communicator, organised and detail focused. You must have the aptitude for learning new techniques and procedures and enjoy solving customer engineering requests quickly with clearly designed solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in a related engineering discipline, with designs and engineering drawing skills using Auto Cad 2D and 3D. Experience of using Excel/Word/Outlook is also essential. You will also be required to travel and spend short periods of time away from home. A full UK driving license is essential.

- Engineering Degree (Preferred) Civil, Mechanical or Structural - or equivalent apprenticeship
