Our Client: One of the largest Design, Installation & Maintenance companies in the south of England. As a company they provide a design, installation & maintenance service covering Electrical / Mechanical / Electrical /Fire & Security they are currently looking for a Contracts Manager.
The Role: To efficiently manage mechanical contracts ensuring that works are completed to required internal / external standards and within program timescales / budgets.
Accountable for the transition of secured contracts from the Bid management team through to site
Liaise with our clients internal HSQE manager for required packages
Liaise with Business Managers to procure specialist packages and update procurement schedules
Ensure no scope gaps during procurement with everything required for a project bought from correct and appropriate source
Work alongside design team to develop schemes for construction drawings whilst collaborating with other supply chain members on projects
Perform tender analysis to ensure value for money achieved and works procured at best market rates utilising existing supply chain
Ensure that internal site files are up to date and accurate
Produce fortnightly site reports for Operations Manager and site teams.
Issue all site related documents to main contractor.
Ensure all projects are run smoothly identifying any early warning concerns or design constraints.
Produce a cost analysis feedback for Operations Manager including lessons learnt.
Demonstrable experience in management/supervisory position or equivalent site experience from a mechanical base.
Extensive knowledge of current regulations
Knowledge of health & safety, CDM regulations.
Conversant with risk assessment techniques and methods.
Knowledge of building construction, including building regulations and guidance notes.
Drive and ability to work under pressure to achieve goals and deadlines.
Good administrative and time management skills
Good level of IT skill to include, Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to use initiative.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A flexible and positive approach to all aspects of service delivery.
Possession of a full driving license and be willing to travel to fulfill the requirements of the post.
Amtech software knowledge
Site experience as a supervisor, although not essential
