Associate Infrastructure Engineer Job Edinburgh.|
Development Infrastructure. Circa £55k plus generous package.
In your new job, your principal role will be day to day project management, the delivery of concept studies and strategies with hands on design, leading to planning applications or construction drawing issues. You can expect to be active on a number of envious project/client accounts at any given time but you will be supported by a team of experienced technical staff of various grades, to whom you will be expected to provide guidance and support.
The position will also involve client and design team liaison, assisting in the preparation of fee proposals, financial control of projects when acting as a project manager and undertaking business development. It represents an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for ensuring your projects are delivered to budget, programme and technical standards and meet QA, CDM and HSE requirements.
Experience of liaison with clients, co-professionals and design teams, and be competent in liaising with highway, water, statutory and local authorities to negotiate the necessary outline and detailed technical approvals.
Knowledge: You will have a good knowledge of the legal processes, planning, design, design software, technical consents process, adoption and contract procedures for the provision of sewers, SUDS, highways and utilities in new developments and regeneration projects and how if, applied effectively, these skills combine to add value to a client's development proposal. You will also have a robust knowledge of the financial and contractual aspects of planning, bidding, and delivering both large and small projects.
Behaviour: Probably from a Consultancy or Development background with a bias on private sector work. Ability to seek clarity of instructions, check own work before submitting for approval, agree and meet timescales for items of work.
Next step: In all cases, Skott Bentley shall be the first point of contact by emailing your CV
