You will be responsible for the sale of engineered components specific to the Oil and Gas sector within the United Kingdom.
As well as maintaining existing clients, it will be expected that the successful candidate will generate new business sales using market knowledge/experience and cold calling. You will need to fully understand how the company components will effect customers business and add value.
There will be a requirement to undertake additional training but you should already have a grounded knowledge in the Oil and Gas industry as well other knowledge of engineered components or plastics.
The nature of the role will mean that the majority of your time will be spent in customer environments, establishing new relationships with key personnel. At all times you will uphold the company's world-class service to customers before and after the sale, including support and guidance.
The Technical Sales Engineer will need to work to tight deadlines and work efficiently in a dynamic environment. You will also need to identify individual training needs and requirements for the departments.
The expectation is that all sales enquiries and calls are documented, and the electronic order system is regularly being reviewed and updated.
You must also document and maintain all customer/client files accurately and in an organised fashion.
Salary is dependent upon experience, with bonus and company benefits.
Must have experience working in a technical sales environment.
Educated to at least degree level in an engineering or technical discipline.
Must have management experience.
Excellent telephone manner
Must have full driving licence.
Strong presentational skills.
Preferred: Engineering background Understanding of plastics/polymers
