An opportunity has arisen within our WA Water business group for a trainee civil drafter to join our team to undertake drafting of a range of local and international Water Engineering projects.
An excellent working knowledge of Autocad will be required as will the ability to take instructions from senior staff while also providing relevant feedback to the project team. The ability to work with other disciplines (outside of Water) will also be expected as part of GHD's teamwork approach to delivering projects.
The role does not need any previous experience in a similar role, but if some industry exposure is present that would be advantageous. We are looking for well-developed communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the company for this role. Being a team player, cooperating with other staff and open sharing of information and knowledge, you will be able to build rapport with others and keep calm during periods of high pressure.
You will have a Diploma in Drafting from a recognised Training Centre, this is a must for the role, any applicants who do not hold a Diploma in Drafting will not be considered. Any Microstation training and experience will be highly advantageous but not essential and above all you will be able to display commitment, initiative and enthusiasm in your everyday attitude.
