We are seeking a Project Controls Manager/Field Engineer for office and field assignment on a major tunnel construction program in the St. Louis region. This is a $500+ million construction program with a 10-year duration. The selected candidate will report to and take direction from the Project Manager and/or Assistant Project Manager.

In this role, the Project Controls Manager/Field Engineer will assist the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager in scope management, schedule management, document control, and other areas. The Project Controls Manager/Field Engineer:
      • Identifies and quantifies cost/schedule impacts from project scope changes
      • Develops and maintains the overall project schedule, evaluates contractor's schedules for compliance, and reports on status and trends
      • Performs Cost Estimating as required
      • Assists the PM and Assistant PM in Budgeting/Cost Tracking, Trending, and Reporting as required
      • Supervises the document control position and provides overall QA/QC to the document control system
      • Assists the PM and Assistant PM in verifying contractor's progress to determine payment amounts as required
      • Attends weekly construction coordination meetings with contractor and other related meetings
      • Assists the PM and Assistant PM in preparation of monthly status reports and special status reports as required
      • Supervises the submittal, shop drawing, and RFI logs to ensure timely compliance
      • Inspects various facets of work on the construction site as assigned by the PM and/or Assistant PM
      • Verifies that the construction proceeds according to approved drawings
      • Prepares inspection reports documenting these facets of work inspected
      • Verifies that the proper materials testing has been conducted for facets of work being inspected
      • Provides field measurements and reports for payment quantities and changes in the work
      • Reads and interprets drawings and specifications
      • Performs other duties as needed

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
      • A minimum of 6 years of related experience in highway, bridge, and/or tunnel construction work in a project controls and/or construction engineering capacity or equivalent
      • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
      • Demonstrated knowledge of Primavera P6
Desired Qualifications:
      • Working knowledge of Primavera Contract Manager, SharePoint or similar industry-related programs
      • Licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.)
