Lecturer in Manufacturing Engineering
Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Salary: Unqualified rate of pay: £20,155 - £29,037 per annum, Qualified rate of pay: £23,178 - £33,340 per annum
Two posts have arisen at at clients purpose built engineering facility (CEMAST) at Lee-on-the-Solent working within a very successful Engineering curriculum area. They are looking for Course Team Leaders / Lecturers with industrial experience of manufacturing and a suitable lecturing background. The new post holders will be required to teach across the range of workshop technologies offered in the department with particular responsibility for the Performing Engineering Operation units and Technical Diploma. The range of courses extends from Workshop and classroom activities at level 2.
Ideally in addition to holding a suitable teaching qualification you will be educated to degree level, or have served a formal engineering apprenticeship with relevant experience.
You should also have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage and inspire young people aged 16-19. You will either possess or be willing to achieve an advanced level teaching qualification, which will be supported financially in full by the college.
Based at the College's recently built £12 million CEMAST Centre in Lee-on-the-Solent which comprises state of the art engineering workshops, teaching classrooms, a learning resource centre, reception and associated facilities, the successful candidate will be a member of a team of over 40 academic and business support staff specialising in engineering and manufacturing.
