ATC Signalling Discipline Engineer|
Overview of the Role
To work collaboratively with the supplier and LU stake holders, providing signalling expertise to enable the acceptance and delivery of the SSR ATC signalling upgrade within London Undergrounds standards, requirements, budget and timescales.
Act as signalling acceptance lead of the design requirements and specifications for defined vital signalling interfaces.
Act as signalling acceptance lead for signalling circuits, control tables and plans for defined signalling migration areas.
Working collaboratively with the supplier and LU stakeholders to resolve signalling issues.
Other activities include:
Interpreting and clarifying signalling requirements and standards.
Providing signalling expertise to support delivery of operating rules, procedures, training material and manuals, hazard analysis, risk assessment, safety justifications, interdisciplinary design, cost/time/resource programming and other signalling related deliverables.
Responding to signalling related technical queries within LU and from the supplier.
Making arguments and justifications such as for concessions and novel practice.
Assessing signalling products for suitability for use on London Underground.
Candidates should be:
Familiar with Signalling Design formats, processes and procedures.
Capable of thinking at a signalling principles level beyond any particular signalling system.
Have a good appreciation of signalling wider interactions both technical and non-technical.
Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders and suppliers.
Understand and be pragmatic in terms of delivery, cost, risk, etc.
Self-motivated and pro-active.
